Now and Then
"If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.
For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.
In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;
And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring."
Khalil Gibran

The perfect lines for a lovely flower. How much truth in those words. I have really enjoyed the message. Thanks for the flowers. They bring back memories. We used to take out the base of the pistil or whatever there is inside that flower and stick it to the tip of our nose when I was a child. Hibiscus is also the term used in Spanish but for this one (hibiscus rosa-sinensis) we also use the name "Mar Pacífico" (Pacífic Sea - meaning Ocean of course)
