Maui Boat Business

This is an old photo, but I'm sharing it today because I'm also adding it to another photo group, VFXY, and their weekly Friday Theme is Industry/Business. The young man to the far right is my S.O.'s nephew who visited us on Maui several years ago. He was a bit fearful of the water, and so he held onto a boogie board upon entering the water.

The Boat Business is very big and successful on Maui with lots of companies competing to snag their share of the business. There are all kinds of boat trips offered--everything from snorkel to whale and dolphin watching to scuba to sightseeing.

On almost every day of the year you can view pods of humans with their brightly colored masks and fins floating around a tourist boat.

Yep Great clear water, looks fun. Going out on a boat is getting more expensive since rising fuel costs. However, for people who love the ocean, boats, whales, snorkeling and tropical fishes,it is worth it.

Hi Kuanyin! Sorry for the speedy visit! I’ve been busy the whole last week and will be out in the next, so this is far less than your blog deserves… ;(( But I promise I’ll come back with more time after June 10th, at least…
However, to avoid leaving you empty hands, I published a last post on Marrakesh 2006 at Blogtrotter. ;))
Enjoy!

heheh..'pods of humans' :P

I love taking the boat ride to Molokini..haven't done that for a couple of years. My fav is on the catamaran when we go back to Maui from Molokin and the wind has picked up a little..if the crew lets you sit in the front part thats like trampoline material it's so fun! we crash through the waves...it's like splash mountain!
