Are You A Fan of Starbucks Coffee Drinks?
If so, there is one in South Maui at the Kukui Mall, right around the corner from the library, the photo of which I posted yesterday.
Maui has most of the same restaurant chains you find elsewhere with some notable exceptions: why isn't there a TGIF here? I can't even imagine why.

*grin* Maui doesn't need a TGIF because residents don't have the same need for weekends as mainlanders do.
As to Starbucks, I am not a fan. The coffee smells burnt, but I will get their chai. Why would you go to Hawaii and drink non-Kona coffee??
Wendy, I'm with ya about the S. coffee--not a big fan either. There's a Bad Ass coffee shop just down the street too!
When I'm in America, and the need arises (it does, it does) for a really strong espresso, I go to Starbucks. Can't abide weak American coffee. This last visit, I found a great place called heavenly Cup that served good strong coffee, so happily I could leave Starbucks alone. Starbucks coffee isn't good compared to Italian coffee but when you need a fix, you need a fix...
we have a few tgif's here in athens and i have to say the chicken quesadilla is gooooood. you've made me hungry :)
I hear Starbucks is having to close down many shops; there are so many that apparently it's no longer exclusive...
I'm not a fan either though I do like some of their cakes:)
TGIF is closing a lot of its restaurants here in Oregon suddenly. I think they are going bankrupt. You won't be likely to see any moving to the islands!
