Maui Cattle
Ranching has long been a big business on Maui, and the premier company is Maui Cattle Company which offers premium beef which is 100% all natural.
To read more about the history of Maui ranching, here's a great website.

Great to see something NOT the usual image of hawaii!
Re following: Hmmm....what I did for most other blogs I follow was to add them manually - open the blog in question in another window, copy the URL then paste it into the space created when you hit "Add" on Blogs I Follow on my own dashboard. There's probably a short cut, but that's how I did it.
Off now to investigate how to get the little icony things!
Funny, I never thought of cattle on Hawaii! You learn something every day...
Interesting....I just never thought about cattle ranching in Hawaii!
That is really cool! Great shot.
My husband and I now refer to Maui cows as "crazy Maui mountain cows" - when we drove up to Haleakala for sunset, the drive down was in the dark. We were moving slowly anyway because of the curves, but the cows were fearless! We saw a calf frolicking, kicking up its heels, having a grand time on what looked like the edge of a drop-off. More than one of the animals stared us down before moving out of the way, casually. We decided Hawai'i cows are just that much more laid back than their mainland cousins.
Wendy: LOL That's exactly how Maui cows are! They hang out in the road on the ranches--fearless and happy!
