One Solitary Sailboat

I will be away most of September, and so I won't be able to contribute to the theme of the month. However, since today is Bloggers Day 2006, I want to contribute my two cents on this day, and so I will try and visit many of you and make a comment. I would also like to point out the AWESOME daily photo blog of my neighboring island...Oahu. It is titled Honolulu, and it's on the island of Oahu. I live on the island of Maui...just pointing this out for some that may not know we're different islands. :-)

Golfing Heaven

One of the prime reasons golfers come to Wailea is the fabulous golf courses. Of the many, a few stand out: the Wailea Gold Course is the one played by the likes of Arnold Palmer and Lee Trevino who Play The Skins. The Makena South Course is played near the water with lots of water holes. Golfing in Wailea isn't inexpensive. You can expect to pay $200 for morning golf and about $180 for afternoon golf.

Dream Home

This is a photo of my "dream home" which I regularly drive by and talk to. I tell her, "You're mine, baby!" and other endearments which I won't share as they're private. Realtor friends of mine invited me to visit this home when she was for sale several years ago, and they held an open-house. My daughter went to the open-house with me, and we both agreed this home was designed for US! This open-house event was about four years ago, and at that time, this home was selling for 9.8 million. With the price of real estate on Maui now, I can't imagine what she must be worth now. However, she isn't for sale. I've been in many a beautiful home in Wailea/Makena, but I'm loyal to this one--she has my heart. This photo doesn't do "my home" justice, and it's impossible to get close because of the fence surrounding the property...plus she's set a good deal back away from the road.
