Coconut Pruning Season Again

Yes, it's that time again when we were hearing the thunder of coconuts falling from our six tall coconut trees. And so today Da Coconut Man is chopping down all the coconuts and branches!

It's Coconut Season Again

We have six very tall coconut palms on our property, and every year the coconuts on these trees return. We hire specialists to chop these coconuts off the tree every year. I've posted the photos of the process somewhere on this blog, but when I went to look for it today, I couldn't locate the post under any of the key words, so the photos are hiding somewhere on this blog under weird key words.

Once we have these new coconuts harvested soon, I'll post the 2008 photos for those that missed the excitement the first time around. :Smile:

Another Beach Photo

Today is a bit overcast, but yesterday was gorgeous--an example: this photo. Has everyone recovered from the Holidays? I haven't!

The Tall Trees

Palm trees are one of my favorite subjects to photograph, and through the years, I've taken LOTS of photos of them. Long before I dreamed of making Maui my home, I was told by a psychic that I would be moving faraway to the land of the "tall trees" and that I would love these trees. I didn't understand what she was talking about then, but now I do!
