A Maui Artist Comes Calling
An artist friend dropped by today with this painting as a gift for me. Its very whimsical and unusual--and I love it.Artists of all stripes are drawn to Maui, and there's a large art market with many galleries here.

Haven't been to your site for awhile because there was no place for comments for a brief period. Glad it's on again! Love the colours in this photo.
It makes sense about all the artists. When you have compelling subject matter (like your post from yesterday) all around you. Even something as simple as a papaya takes on more meaning and substance. (just like your post from 8/5!)
