Island Altars
Throughout the island there are many altars with statues of the Madonna tucked away in jungle and rural settings. Very nice photograph of the Madonna.
I immediately thought of France and Italy, which are filled with those roadside altars, and then you mentioned the Portugese section ;-)
I see them everywhere here too, especially in the South American homes.
